The Gospel
The numeric patterns detailed on this site cannot save you from your sins. They simply point us to the God who can: the Author of the Bible. He is the true and living God who created all things, and is above all, longsuffering in mercy, eternal, invisible, immortal, and holy in all His being. He created you and He loves you. That was proven ~2000 years ago when the Word became flesh so that He would be crucified at the cross of Calvary, as a sacrifice for all, when he took all our sins and bare them in his own body, cursed, and hanging on the tree in our place. Many people think their good deeds will be good enough to outweigh their bad on the day of judgment. What a terrifying day that will be, as they enter the presence of the Most Holy, having trusted their own goodness and the work of their own hands instead of those blood-drenched hands that were nailed upon the cross. We have all sinned. We are all guilty. We have all come short. The good news is that Jesus, the Son of God, tasted death in our place. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor 15:3-4 How do you escape damnation? Summary
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts represent the complete historic account of the New Testament. The rest of the books are Epistles written to churches or persons, concluding with the Apocalypse. With case sensitivity on (looking at all pure mentions of Jesus without UPPERCASE mentions), there are a total of 686 pure mentions of Jesus(‘) in the N.T. historic books, which is (7x7x7 + 7x7x7).
When you add Christ(‘s), the total comes out to 777x.
Case Sensitive Mentions in the N.T. Historical Account (Matthew – Acts)
Jesus(‘) = 686x = (7x7x7 + 7x7x7)
Christ(‘s) = 91x
Total: (686 + 91) = 777 pure mentions of Jesus(‘) + Christ(‘s)
Pure counts exclude antimentions. This pattern excludes -1 (“Jesus” which is Joshua in Acts 7:45)
Some would ask, “If this were of God, why would it not include all the UPPERCASE mentions of JESUS?” Perhaps God knew there would be 6 UPPERCASE mentions of JESUS in his book, and ordained it as such for fine-tuned perfection as we see here with our eyes.
