The numeric patterns detailed on this site cannot save you from your sins. They simply point us to the God who can: the Author of the Bible. He is the true and living God who created all things, and is above all, longsuffering in mercy, eternal, invisible, immortal, and holy in all His being. He created you and He loves you. That was proven ~2000 years ago when the Word became flesh so that He would be crucified at the cross of Calvary, as a sacrifice for all, when he took all our sins and bare them in his own body, cursed, and hanging on the tree in our place. Many people think their good deeds will be good enough to outweigh their bad on the day of judgment. What a terrifying day that will be, as they enter the presence of the Most Holy, having trusted their own goodness and the work of their own hands instead of those blood-drenched hands that were nailed upon the cross. We have all sinned. We are all guilty. We have all come short. The good news is that Jesus, the Son of God, tasted death in our place. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Cor 15:3-4 How do you escape damnation? Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:14
You may have heard that the New Testament begins ~77% of the way through the Bible by word count, which means the name of Jesus (the 77th from God) first shows up in the ~77% range of his own book, as documented here. While that pattern does not carry exact precision to the decimal place, this one does.
In Matthew 7:14, which is the 23331st verse of the Bible, the word position/count in the entire Bible transitions from 77.6999% to 77.7000…%
23331 = 7777×3, or (7777 + 7777 + 7777)
You may have also heard that Jesus referenced the 7777th verse of the Bible in the first N.T. passage that brings up the sabbath day (7th day of the week).
But here in Matthew 7:14, read what Jesus says:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:14
What an excellent verse for such a perfect alignment! The Lord is teaching that the gate is strait, and the way is narrow that leadeth unto life. In the Gospel of John, we find it clear what Christ is referring to. Jesus is the gate, or “the door” as we read in John 10:9. And Jesus is the way and the life (John 14:6).
And it is only through the word of God, “the volume of the book” (Psalm 40:7, Hebrews 10:7), that we can ever know who Jesus really is. That volume is not the Quran or the Talmud. That book is the Holy Bible, and we believe that the evidence is beyond any reasonable doubt that God has revealed unto us with strait and narrow precision the exact volume: the Authorized King James Bible.
Why not modern versions? Because God is not a liar, and it’s not possible for both the KJB and modern versions to be the true words of God. Take Matthew 7:14 as an example:
Matthew 7:14
KJB – Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
NKJV – Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
ESV – For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
NASB – For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
The way is not difficult, or hard, or constricted which all imply a works-based salvation. The way is narrow, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:14 is Verse #23331 (7777×3) and is Precisely 77.7% Through the Bible (By Word Count)
